Garden Maintenance Program

You mow, we take care of the rest

The Garden Management option is ideal for the busy homeowner who doesn’t want to spend every weekend doing yard work. We’ll do the weeding, pruning, bed maintenance and mulching and leave the mowing up to you. Many other services can be added to this plan “a la carte”…the most popular being our lawn care package.

WEEDING: Bi-weekly removal of all weeds, sticks, and other debris in mulch beds, sidewalks, patios, and other hard surfaces. Weeding is performed by a combination of hand weeding and chemical application.

MULCHING: A clean edge will be cut on all beds prior to mulching (tree rings and hard edges included). Dyed brown mulch will be spread evenly with a thickness of 2” throughout all beds and mulch rings. All mulching will take place prior to April 15th.

LEAF REMOVAL: All leaves and pine tags in beds (excluding natural areas and lawn) will be cleared bi-weekly from October 15th through January 15th. Leaves will be disposed of at our site where they will be composted and utilized at our plant growing facility.

OFF SEASON: During the winter Cross Creek will service the property every three weeks to clean up and remove any debris in all areas. In addition, all Crape Myrtle, Butterfly Bush, Hydrangea, Liriope, Ornamental grasses and others will be pruned or cut back.

PLANT CARE: All plants and trees less than 10 feet tall will be pruned at the appropriate time no less than 3 times a year. All plants will be pruned of dead wood as required.

TURF ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM: All turf will have four fertilizer applications throughout the year (3 in the fall and one in the spring) plus two pre-emergant crabgrass applications, one in the early spring and one in late spring. Aeration followed by seeding to occur in the fall. Ph of soil will be tested twice yearly. One lime application will be applied in the fall. Three post emergent broadleaf treatments will be applied (one each growing season). All treatments applied by a licensed state technician.
