Also known as Swamp Milkweed, this perennial may grow up to 5′ tall and produces clusters of pink flowers that bloom mid-spring and into the early fall. Plant in full sun in well draining soil.  Milkweed is an important food source for the monarch butterfly caterpillars. Plant in pollinator gardens, near a pond or in naturalized areas.
