Because Cardinal Flowers are most often found in areas such as swamps and low wooded areas, planting them in wet soil is preferred. They will thrive in wet soil.   This plant produces brilliant red flowers supported by long stems.  Will grow 2-4 feet tall and 1-2 feet wide.  Bloom time is summer through early fall.
