Ilex Oakleaf 15G

The Oakleaf holly is a more compact, red holly.  More versatile than the Nellie Stevens due to its smaller size, but still comes with all the vibrant red berries during winter.  Use as an accent, specimen and/or privacy tree.  Offered at Cross Creek Nursery in 15 gallon containers.

Height: 10-15 feet

Spread: 8-10 feet

Bloom Time:  Flowers emerge in early spring.  White/yellow fragrant blooms. 

Special Features:  Deer resistant. New growth is bronze to burgundy red then turning to an emerald green color.  Offers red berries in fall.

Uses in the Landscape:  Screening, privacy, specimen planting or hedge.

Care Tips: The best time to prune is in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.
