This species is different from other orchids.  These are grown more for their gorgeous foliage rather than their flowers.  Blooming white flowers once a year, this orchid’s leaves are the real star of the show.  Leaves are oval shaped, dark green with a velvety feel with pinkish veins running through the leaves.  These plants prefer shady areas.  Keep out of direct sunlight.  Unlike other orchids, Jewel Orchid’s require well draining, porous soil.
