This plant thrives in warm, humid conditions.  Bright, indirect light is best and keep away from cold drafts.  The soil should be kept consistently moist, but not wet, which could result in root rot.  Since this plant requires humid conditions, placing it on a water tray with pebbles or misting the leaves can help.  At maturity, this plant might put out aerial roots which would create a multi-trunked appearance.
