Sat. August 12th 10am
Join Corann (under the wisteria) for a peaceful and relaxing workshop as we sow sun perennial seeds in a grower's tray.
Corann, our Perennials manager, will share with the class the best way to start seeds at home, along with the "do's and don'ts" of sowing and growing your own perennials. Each participant will get 1 tray to fill with purple Coneflowers, Black Eyed Susans, Shasta Daisies and Hollyhocks. 1 tray holds 50 perennials. Once the seeds have germinated, these seedlings (called "plugs in the nursery industry") will be mature and ready to transfer into your garden this fall for spring enjoyment or to share with friends. Preparing your soil and transplanting techniques will be
discussed as well.
Cost of the workshop $15.00
