History of Cross Creek Nursery & Landscaping
In 1974 Gene & Diane McAuliffe started a tropical plant store in Carytown called Tropical Treehouse.
As the operation grew into several retail florist locations and an interior maintenance business, the need
for greenhouse space became very important. In 1980 Cross Creek Nursery was born to help serve this
need. Still operated by the original owners and second generation family members, Cross Creek Nursery
& Landscaping has grown into a large full service operation serving all of Central Virginia.
